Promotional Video - IAHE 2013 Conference

Just in time! We finished the final touches on this piece for the 2013 IAHE Confernece last night. We being myself and my long time partner and friend at Ripplewave, Caleb (yes, the same ever elusive one). It's probably the fastest turn around we've ever seen with such a video. If you know me personally, you'll see several familiar faces in this one. Hope you enjoy! It was a real pleasure to get into some video work again this season.

For those of you looking for particulars, we used a AE template for the tv animation scene in the first 0:30 and another for the sunny orchard clothesline photos. All other B-roll and interviews were shot the week of production. We shot on a driftwood hacked Panasonic GH2 (micro 4/3rds) and a Tascam HD-P2 with a shotgun and lavaliere for audio. All you Mac users out there probably recognized the first sound track theme from garage band, but the second piece was brilliantly executed by my friend Phil (http://audiojungle.net/user/PhilLarson).

Indy - The Sequel

Tada! We've finally completed the photos from this years commission to Indianapolis. Just in time too. The prints are looking good (maybe I'll be able to see them installed soon?)

It has been so fun to go out for this project again and add even more material to the collection. Here are some of my favorites this time around:

Filmonaut XV - Back to Holga

I finally got some 120 I shot with my Holga developed! I actually shot it last summer, so it had been sitting in my little film box for almost a year. I was so pleased with how they turned out! They are actually even clearer in than these images show, I think there was an issue with my scanner. But they are still clearer than most of my old 120 images from the first few Filmonauts.

After the 120 shots you'll see a few from a roll I accidentally exposed to light after I had finished shooting the roll. Whoops! You can tell which images are from the roll because they look kind of foggy. Just below those are images from the disposable roll I shot in my Pentax SLR, just in case you were interested in how those turned out.

Crooked Stick Golf Course from the sky. This is actually the only way to get photos of the course without a membership or as a guest of a member because it's a private course. Believe me, I learned the hard way...

Jack, a grand fellow I met on the flight back to Indy. It's hard to conversate on airplanes these days, everyone is either sleeping or has headphone in their ears. We had a common interest in film photography.

Antigone & Sophia - Portraits for Mother's Day

Some friends contacted me for a last minute Mother's Day shoot! It was so fun. Joy, Trinity, the girls, and I went out for coffee afterwards too.

A fun idea the girls had: Sophia's the starving artist who can't get a break, Antigone is a tough critic who doesn't like her work...

Indy - Update

Good evening all! Well, this second round of the Indy shoot has taken quite a bit longer to post than I had originally thought (we added a few locations after the initial shoot). While I'm waiting for some more progress on the corporate end of things, I thought I'd show you some of the progress so far, even if you might see some of these again later. This is me, waiting in an elevator:

That's right! They are letting me shoot a few landscapes this time:
